Despite a heartbreaking 3-2 loss for Team U.S.A. in overtime to Canada, the men's Olympic gold medal hockey game will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most intense and exciting games of all time. An instant classic, it rivals the 1980 "Miracle On Ice" and the 1972 Canada vs. Russia series in importance to the development of the sport of hockey. For those who hadn't been hockey fans before, this game will be remembered as a defining moment in the hockey world, just as the "Greatest Game Ever Played" was to the NFL in 1958. Best of all, the game featured no less than 4 current Chicago Blackhawks players; Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook. This could very well be the year the Blackhawks win their first Stanley Cup since 1961. They certainly now have the talent to do it.
